My Story
My story of honey straws began (early 2000's) when my mentor bought thousands of honey straws for her daily teaching event in the schools. I tasted those honey straws and then tasted her honey. Wait ... her honey tasted great. The bought honey straw was not great (like no flavor). I asked my mentor how can we get our honey in the straws. She could not answer that question. So I said I will figure it out.
Well it took time to gather the equipment and tools. That was all before anything Google could figure out. Lots of trial and error. With the help I used a impulse heat sealer and few other tools. I took over my kitchen and handmaded honey straws.
About 4 years ago, I purchased a spinning honey straw machine from Anthony's Beehive. I worked on my process and as of today i have successfully made tens of thousands of honey straws.
I accept speaking engagements talking about honey straws and honey and your health. My goal is to help beekeepers discover how they can easily make honey straws for their customers. I had one customer (that ordered 3 thousand honey straws) said he sold out of his honey because of the straws.
